On LinkedIn I would otherwise not be able to connect with professionals of my own field: Now I have about 3.000.000 people in my 3rd level, but only 2000 of my own professional field. I tried to go the other way as well, but it was not really efficient. I am grateful for those open networkers on LinkedIn – XING is probably a bit different.
